Last October 11 and 12, People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) held its 54th annual conference bringing the theme: “disruptive HR in a digital and borderless world” with over 2,000 guests.
The modernization of HR technology has indeed brought a different employee experience for talents all over the world. This modernization went towards the direction of better management and training of employees. As part of the management and training, it is important to know their responsibility as a part of the HR group.
Through this platform, we wish to raise awareness about the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Since the HR department handles all sensitive and confidential files, they could get fines for serious breaches of the Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012.
